If the Canon is an AirPrint compatible printer and both the iPad and the printer are on the same network you can print from most apps. If it is not check Canon's website for an app or there are some computer applications that will let you print via your computer.

About AirPrint - Apple Support
I did not see your printer listed at the above link.
That means it is not AirPrint compatible.

You will have to check the app store to see if canon offers a printing app.
