Q: Photos tab disappeared from iTunes

Hiya all,

I have an iPhone 6 64GB with iOS 8.4. My PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I've not had problems before when syncing photos from my phone to my PC, but now I am missing the "Photos" tab under "On my Device" in iTunes. I have the latest version of iTunes, and I've tried resetting the settings on my phone. Here's a screenshot of my problem:

As you can see, the tab has literally vanished. I've tried completely reinstalling iTunes and the Apple Software Updater. Can anyone help me with this please? I'm not very experienced with iOS nor iTunes and so a very basic explanation would be nice!

Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

It looks like the Photos tab is missing from "On My Device" in iTunes.

You mentioned that you have an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.4. Is iCloud Photo Library turned on under Settings > iCloud > Photos? If so, you won't be able to sync pictures using iTunes and the Photos tab won't appear under "On My Device." If this is the case, you can sync photos to your iPhone using iCloud for Windows:
