If you are having an issue with your computer becoming unresponsive when you try to access the iTunes Store, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows.

Aug 15, 2015 10:45 PM in response to ValWby ValW,Thanks Brett. Today the Software Updater got me to install the very latest version (12.2.2.25) and that cured the problem on its own.
