The easiest way to back up your Voice Memos is with iCloud. However, if you want to get the files onto your Mac and burn them to a CD, you can do it by syncing with iTunes or using AirDrop.
If you are working with iTunes 12, you can still sync your voice memos by adding the checkmark to the "Include Voice Memos" box under "Sync Music." Here is a link to the iTunes 12 User Guide.

-
Connect your device to your computer and click the device button near the top left of the iTunes window.
-
Select the type of content you want to sync (for example, Music or Apps) in the sidebar on the left.
-
Select the Sync checkbox, then select the items you want to sync automatically each time you connect your device.
With Yosemite, you can also use the AirDrop feature to transfer a Voice Memo to your computer. Then open in iTunes and save a version as MP3.
