Bring it back to the shop where you bought it.

Maybe you should buy your next gift card directly from Apple.

If you have a receipt that proves you've purchased this gift card, you can try getting your money back.

I don't think Apple is somehow related to this issue.

Either someone at the shop sold you a card that had been already used, or you mistyped the card code.
