Q: Aperture not compaitble with latest OS X

Can anyone provide me with information on when or where there may be an update for Aperture to run with the latest version 10.10.4 OS X.

Very frustratingly I was required to update the OS to trial Final Cut (as an alternative to adobes pay per month scheme for Premier).

Now I can no longer open Aperture as it is not supported. Apple you need to fix this immediately as your new software does not even support programs that have been made in house.

If you need a feature which Aperture has but Photos doesn't, click here and follow the instructions.

The latest version of Aperture is still working fine in OSX10.10.4 It will not be developed any further by Apple, but there is no sign of it not working in current OSX.

    Cheers

That may be the case Peter. However the latest update that the software's suggesting I download to fix the issue is not available in the Australian Online store.

below are the messages I get.

"The version of Aperture installed on this Mac is not compatible with OS X Yosemite. Download the latest version for free from the Mac App Store."

then on application search for update.

"The item you've requested is not currently available in the Australian Store."

Really helpful Apple strikes again. I think I will be getting AVID and back dating my OS to an older backup. I can be bothered dealing with Apples lack of support for older software. I know being focused on the future is great and all, but you need to ensure that the older programs will still migrate seamlessly between OS updates.

You need to follow a specific process to get the latest update, and it's only possible if you previously got Aperture from or associated it with the Mac App Store. Click on the link I posted above.
