I understand after installing Yosemite, your Mac boots to a question mark. To troubleshoot this situation, I would recommend reading over and then working through the suggested steps outlined in the attached article below.
If a flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac - Apple Support

Aug 13, 2015 3:03 AM in response to stckhlmby Lexiepex,You can restore the Mavericks where it was delivered with by using the Internet Recovery:
start while holding CMD+R+Alt(option): choose install OSX, it will download the original OSX that it was delivered with, then installs it.
After that you can update when necessary or install Yosemite anew.
