Aug 10, 2015 11:39 AM in response to christine276by ASCarlisle,From what I understand, this error usually occurs when the Apple TV has trouble communicating with Netflix.
A few things to try :-
- Ensure Apple TV is up to date (How to update software on your Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) - Apple Support)
- Ensure you are connected to the internet, it seems like you are as you can access HBO
- Ensure Netflix is up
- Restart your Apple TV. Settings > General.
If all of this fails (e.g. if it still isn't working in 24 hours), you may have to factory reset your Apple TV. (Restore your Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) - Apple Support)
Follow up: I notice you are using ethernet. It may be worth you trying wifi to see if that rectifies the issue.
Hope this helps
