Q: Late 2008 MB, confusion about firmware updates

I just adopted a late 2008 aluminum MacBook. About EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Mac computers - Apple Support says this about EFI/Boot ROM and SMC (respectively) updates for this computer:

MacBook (13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008)

MacBook5,1

MB51.007D.B03 (EFI 1.4)

1.32f8 (SMC 1.2)

System profile says I have

Boot ROM MB51.007D.B00

SMC 1.40f2

The same "about" page also says "Most firmware updates are automatically installed when you update or upgrade OS X. " At some stage somebody upgraded this MacBook to OSX 10.9.1 Am I correct in inferring it still needs an EFI update and that the SMC is somehow already updated beyond what Apple provides as a download on the main firmware downloads page (despite the page being updated only 3 weeks ago) since the number is higher?

G4 Quicksilver 2x1GHz 250/120GB HDs, Mac OS X (10.4.11), OS9.2.2, iTunes7.5, QT7.4&QTP2.5.1

My Late 2008 MacBook's which running 10.10.4 Yosemite firmware versions are:
Boot ROM Version MB51.007D,B03
SMC Version(system) 1.32f8
They are seems to be the latest.

Thank you for the reply. My puzzlement is my SMC seems to be a higher version (presuming the numbering is consistent with general patterns for software) than that available. I was wondering if it was one of those things the link was mentioning about only being available as a package software installation, not a stand alone firmware update. However, I would then expect your even more recent Yosemite to have installed at least 1.4 if the Mavericks installation put it there.
