Q: OSX 10.7.5 and iPhoto '11 9.2.1. Upgrade?

Barney has a User Tip that works well for updating, be sure you check and see that you have iPhoto in your App Store account first.  You may have to unhide the purchases.

To order a book you need iPhoto '09, version 8.x.x. or  iPhoto '11, version 9.x.x.

I thought I need to upgrade iPhoto to the latest version. How can I do that?

Upgrading early iPhoto '09 or earlier versions is no longer possible from Apple, because Apple stopped selling iPhoto.  You could buy an iLife '11 installer from Amazon or eBay, that would install an early iPhoto '11 version, and you can update it from Apples downloads page up to iPhoto 9.4.3, but not beyond that.
