Q: How do I get to iTunes Match in new iTunes version?

For some reason, since this latest version of iTunes, I'm having problems finding iTunes Match in iTunes on my iMac and MacBook Air. These machines do no seem to be recognizing my iTunes Match library. How do I turn it on?

I found the answer, I think. When Apple Music started it turned off my access to iCloud library.

 

Does Apple Music take the place of iCloud Match? I don't really want to subscribe to Apple Music — I'm concerned that I'll be loaded down with all sort of ads and promotions.

 

Can any one tell me the advantages disadvantages or why iTunes Match was automatically turned off?

    Hello,

    To start, using Apple Music should not turn off iTunes Match, which is a separate, independant service but can be used inconjunction with Apple Music if desired. "iCloud Music Library" refers to your music being matched or uploaded to the cloud and it can apply to either service or both if used together. Apple Music also scans your library much the same as iTunes Match. Thus, Apple Music does not take the place of iTunes Match to answer your question. To summarize, Apple Music is a primarily a music streaming service which doesn't allow access to locally downloaded music should you cancel whereas iTunes Match allows for the storage and access of music you own.
