Q: the original file could not be found.

I purchased a number of songs and audio books- now I get this!  How can I re-access my purchases?

Audiobooks are a one-time only download from the store, if you haven't got copies of them in your backup of your downloads/library you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload (assuming that they are still in the store and you haven't moved countries since buying them) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

For the music, either copy them back from your backup (File > Add To Library in iTunes), or if they are still in the store (and you haven't moved countries), try deleting them from the My Music part of your library (where you are getting the unable to locate message) and see if they show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for redownloading - and check to see if you've hidden any of them from the cloud : Hide and unhide purchases in the iTunes Store - Apple Support.
