Q: Very faint mark on display
Hi All,
I decided to clean my MacBook Pro's screen today as it was starting to get a bit dusty. To do this I used a microfibre cloth and a small amount of LCD liquid. I also polished it at the end with the included Apple cloth.
On inspection of my screen at the end of this process I noticed a very faint, short horizontal line on the display which I can't seem to be able to remove. I've tried rubbing it with and without the liquid and it won't seem to come off. I don't want to try too much or I could cause damage.
Having said this the line is extremely faint and can only been seen when the screen is off - even then you have to get very close and look at just the right angle in the light. I am a bit of a perfectionist so this kind of thing bothers me slightly (though not very much at the minute).
What might it be - a fault with the display coating or something? I might have been there anyway before I cleaned the screen. I just don't know whether it is something I should be concerned about or not. Is it worth looking into in case it was to get worse in the future?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
