Aug 13, 2015 5:10 AM in response to Loner Tby Loner T,Features supported in Windows 10
Boot Camp 6 includes support for the following features of your Mac in Windows 10.
- USB 3
- USB-C on the MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015)
- Thunderbolt
- built-in SD or SDXC card slot
- built-in or USB Apple SuperDrive
- your Apple keyboard, trackpad, and mouse
You can install Windows 10 on an internal drive in your Mac. Boot Camp Assistant helps you create a partition on your drive that's compatible with Windows. When you install Windows on a Mac that includes a Fusion Drive, the Windows partition is created on the mechanical hard drive part of the Fusion Drive (not the SSD).
After you install Windows, you can install the latest version of iTunes for Windows to listen to your music or play videos. You'll need to authorize Windows to play music or videos you've purchased from the iTunes Store.
If some features aren't working when you start your Mac from Windows 10, try reinstalling Boot Camp support software using Boot Camp Assistant.

Aug 13, 2015 6:09 AM in response to Loner Tby snruebes,I don't understand why Apple does not offer these new drivers as direct download from the website like they did it in the past.
There are not only consumers - there are also enterprises which might require them without going the elaborate way via BootCamp wizard.
@ Apple: pls Update this table with the new BootCamp 6 drivers!!!!

Aug 13, 2015 6:18 AM in response to snruebesby Loner T,BCA after Late 2013 models uses Apple's CDN and their Electronic Software Distribution (ESD). Fro the brave who still want to do this manually, please try https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier .

Aug 13, 2015 6:22 AM in response to Loner Tby snruebes,Hi Loner T,
excellent tip - I will try this - however I'm wondering why Apple makes it more difficult instead of easier to get the drivers.
This makes no sense for me.
Regards,
Sebastian

Aug 13, 2015 6:39 AM in response to snruebesby Loner T,Apple's ESD system relies on BCA to collect appropriate information. The same reasoning applies to Apple Software Update on the Windows side. For example, OS and hardware specific dependencies are easier to define using Model Identifiers and Hardware UUIDs which software can match, rather than a human being reading System Requirements and misinterpreting them.
I have seen users try 5.1.5640 and 5.1.5621 simultaneously as desperate measures, without reading System Requirements.
