Aug 13, 2015 8:38 AM in response to Loner Tby billygoat,When I try to run Setup.exe in Windows it says "this version of Bootcamp is not intended for this computer model"
Really? So does this mean that the only way to get Bluetooth support for the 12" Retina is to upgrade to Windows 10?

Aug 13, 2015 9:34 AM in response to Loner Tby billygoat,I do not have that exe in that folder from the Boot Camp update I downloaded an hour ago. Very strange. The other files are there just like in your window, but not the Bluetooth one.
Is there a way you can post it up so I can download it from you?

Aug 13, 2015 9:50 AM in response to billygoatby Loner T,Can you check the version (similar to what I have posted) in your Bootcamp.xml file? You seem to have 5.x version of BC drivers.
Using brigadier is very easy. Here is my log. (You will need python, which should already be on your Mac).
./brigadier -m MacBook8,1 -o Bootcamp-MacBook8.1

Aug 13, 2015 10:23 AM in response to Loner Tby billygoat,I'm running 5.1.5769 version according to the xml file.
I don't know what I'm doing in Mac, totally clueless, I'm just a Windows guy and I don't know what Python is or how to use it. Is there some way you can just upload or email me the broadcombluetooth driver that I'm lacking so I can prove/disprove whether Bluetooth can work in 8.1 on a 12" Retina?

Aug 13, 2015 11:05 AM in response to billygoatby Loner T,Uploaded the .dmg to https://www.dropbox.com/s/div1yevpn105alt/WindowsSupport.dmg?dl=0 .
MD5 is MD5(WindowsSupport.dmg)= a3d3e4f4a950fe6b47c4cb55f7cd7e02.
Please ensure that you verify the MD5 using openssl md5 WindowsSupport.dmg in the folder you download it.

Aug 13, 2015 11:17 AM in response to Loner Tby billygoat,So I went into the Mac side, launched Bootcamp Assistant, and chose the middle option and downloaded Update Support onto a thumb drive.
I then booted over to the Windows 8.1 side and installed that download which updated me to Bootcamp 6.0.6133 which I thought would be the answer but still its not. Still no Bluetooth under Windows for the 12" Retina. Did I do something wrong? Was I supposed to just run the broadcombluetooth driver as an admin as you instructed earlier?

Aug 14, 2015 9:05 AM in response to Loner Tby billygoat,Just a head's up that I don't think the 12" Retina is supported by Bootcamp 6 and Windows 8.1 for restoring Bluetooth functionality.
I did a full Windows Update for all outstanding service packs, I did a full OSX Update for all outstanding updates, I pulled down Bootcamp 5 (updated Tuesday) and Bootcamp 6 (updated yesterday) and installed them both and still no Bluetooth. Everything else works fine, no Bluetooth.
So, reluctantly, even though I want to stay on 8.1, I'm waiting on my Windows 10 download from Microsoft, when it arrives I'm expecting Bluetooth to work. Will report back when that happens. -
Aug 14, 2015 9:22 PM in response to billygoatby billygoat,For those with the 12" RMB, problem solved, Bluetooth can be yours with Windows 10 and Bootcamp 6. Not sure why I was resisting Windows 10, it's better than 8.1 and was very easy to install. Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse is running flawlessly.
Note for those of you who tried and installed Bootcamp 6 with Windows 8 prior to the Windows 10 upgrade- sequencing matters. After installing Windows 10 you'll notice no Bluetooth icon in the tray; just run Bootcamp 6 install again (it will say "repair") and reboot, it'll get you what you need.
Thanks to all here who helped, especially Loner T.
