Q: Touch screen only works on charger

Hi

I've been using my Apple Watch for almost two months now, but since tonight I'm having a very weird problem. All of a sudden, the touchscreen stopped responding or responded only randomly. I then resetted the watch by pressing and holding both buttons. No success. Re-tried many times, then restored from backup, then set up as new etc etc. Eventually, I found out that the watch works fine as long as it it on the charger, but as soon as I remove it, the screen reacts randomly or not at all. Any idea what this could be? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Me too happened to me a week ago, after hours and hours doing resets and pairing have come to the conclusion that what is wrong is not the screen, I think (I not think, I confirm!) That are sensors the back, the 4 circles fails. If Apple Watch put the plane on a wooden table you will see that it works perfectly, and if you separate yourself from the table touch screen playing the fool again.

    See someone can confirm?

I don't know. But I also spent hours resetting and pairing, wearing the watch, on the table, on the charger etc, but it only worked on the charger.

To make things worse, I had the watch sent in for repair. When the delivery guy came to pick it up, I wore it on my wrist - and it worked! Nevertheless, I sent it in. And guess what? I got informed by Apple that after thoroughly checking my watch, they could not reproduce the error! Now I'm waiting to get a it back. Let's see what happens next....

If you put it on a wooden table holding it down and touch screen works perfectly, I've been with this many hours ....

Today I go to an Apple Store in Barcelona for a Genius solve this nightmare, a week ago I am well, I've tried everything, all all all ..... Today Genius surely will do what I have done, my problem is not gone and I hope today happen to them in front of me. I would hate not to do it when you reach the Apple Store. Also I have a few videos that show this error.

It seems incredible that a clock in 2015 these things happen, Apple does not test things thoroughly before selling them, are talking about a watch, if it is complex but no excuses, I had several watches from brands like Suunto prices almost 500 and have never ever had problems.

I hope your Apple Watch continue running!

I have the same problem that everybody is having, my touch screen is only responsive if I have the apple watch connected. It seems to be some problems with the sensors in the back. Did anybody of you fixed the problem? thanks.

This just started happening to me too. Has there been any progress on this issue?
