Aug 13, 2015 4:41 PM in response to jusslawwby jasonsykoo,Yeah, this didn't help. After selecting that option, it starts to boot into windows, then I get a flash of the classic blue screen of death and then it takes me right back to the same screen informing me that the AppleSSD.sys file could not be verified. Blaaaah.
I think I'll try windows 8 and see what happens.

Aug 13, 2015 4:51 PM in response to ahtsanby jusslaww,I tried that but couldn't dig up the file.
I think it comes from the bootcamp drivers, not the iso, so that age of the iso doesn't matter. We just need a bootable usb from before yesterday....

Aug 13, 2015 4:55 PM in response to jasonsykooby jusslaww,Windows 8 worked like a charm from start to finish.
Doesn't help the 7 problem though....
Could we pilfer the appleSSD.sys file from the windows 8 bootable?

Aug 13, 2015 5:07 PM in response to ahtsanby jusslaww,Maybe what we need to do is roll back to an old version of bootcamp. It's apple's drivers causing the problem, not windows' install disk

Aug 13, 2015 5:31 PM in response to ahtsanby Loner T,You can try using the Apple folder under Bootcamp, but using Bootcamp.msi will also give you older BC drivers.

Aug 13, 2015 5:50 PM in response to ahtsanby Rinelander,I have exactly the same problem, just an hour before the forum was opened here. I have found no older version of applessd.sys. My file has been renewed until this month by Apple. A colleague has installed until 1-2 months before Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro 15 Retina (we have no contact to this person) without any problems. Disabeling the file signature checking doesn't work. I tried it first.
In my opinion, it is a harassment of Apple to banish the better Windows 7 from its computers.
Does nobody have a colleague, who has already installed Windows 7 a few months ago on a Macbook Pro 2013-2014 and can post us the older version of applessd.sys?
I WANT MY WINDOWS 7 !

Aug 13, 2015 6:21 PM in response to Rinelanderby Rinelander,Can anybody show how to delete .sys files, OS X doesn't want it!?
Found a applessd.sys from earlier Bootcamp 5.0.xxxx, but only 1 hour earlier date.
I can't change it for testing.

Aug 13, 2015 6:57 PM in response to Rinelanderby Loner T,Download a Trial version of Paragon NTFS for Mac, and get readwrite access to the NTFS partition and delete files as necessary. Remember to uninstall Paragon otherwise Windows installer and OS X get confused.

Aug 13, 2015 10:28 PM in response to ahtsanby jamesli322,So it is apple's problem on having an update for bootcamp which leads to the incompatibility of bootcamp with window 7?
I'm having a 15' macbook pro retina (mid 2014)
