I got a new iPhone 6, I backed up everything on my new phone and the photos are not there! help

Q: Every ting is backed up on my new iPhone except for my photos! Help please
Welcome to the Apple community.
How were your photos set up, if you were using iCloud photo library they won't be backed up because you can redownload them when you turn iCloud photo library on again.
