Q: Can I or how do I transfer a sim card from htc desire to iPhone 4

You can copy the contacts to the SIM, but it's going to be really difficult (you have to select each contact, press Menu Button > More > Copy to SIM), and you can only hold a maximum of 100 contacts with no names attached. Also, I don't believe the HTC Desire's SIM would even fit in the iPhone (nano SIM vs. micro SIM). Sign into contacts.google.com with your Gmail account on the HTC Desire, and see if you have your contacts backed up on your Gmail account.
