Q: How can I get error 7 to go away?

I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I was getting the error 7 message and went through all the posted steps to uninstall and reinstall (all files folders...etc.) I also downloaded and went through the rar process. I ran CCcleaner. After uninstall and reboot the error message changes from error 7 to error 2. When I reinstall it goes back to error 7.

Now the error 7 message pops up continuously and I cannot work on anything until I close it.

Here is what I got on my last installation effort - It shows installation successful AND an error 7 message.

Any ideas?

    Hello molahi,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

It appears that you're seeing an "error 7" message after installing iTunes for Windows. You mentioned trying some good steps like uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes components.

You can find some more troubleshooting tips for this error in If you can't install or update iTunes for Windows. I recommend going through steps 1 - 4 of this article: Check to make sure that you have Administrator privileges in Windows, be sure to install any required updates from Microsoft, and try repairing the iTunes installation. Additionally, you may need to disable or remove potentially conflicting software such as antivirus scanning software, as mentioned in step 6.
