Q: itunes 12.2.2.25 says "itunes could not backup the iphone because the iphone has not been set up" and cannot take backup.

Bad instruction is about lockdown folder. It caused this error.
Deleting lockdown folder
Caused "iTune could not connect to this iPhone. An unknown error occurred (0xE80000003)
==> Restored folder

JAPAN / Japanese United States / English
Since I use English or Japanese, only tried these combination.
Too bad, I don't understand what software designers of Apple are thinking
