Each device is made from different components and if one device works on a network ok, it wouldn't necessary mean there is a problem with other device. Many times issue can be caused by Network setup, Environment and/or Interferences caused by other devices.
If you are using your mac in a location where your computer is capable to discover many other networks then you can be sure that your mac is experiencing Interferences from other Networks.
Some commonly used home appliances can caused Interferences too. Even home layout and materials used in wall can have impact too.

Have a look at document which provides informations how to use Wireless Diagnostics tool on your Mac: Wireless Diagnostics
There are cases on this discussions where some issue where caused by dual-band routers which broadcasts 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks in sync mode. Disabling Sync Mode and changing names on the both of the networks - the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Networks - to individual names resolved issues.
If you want to clarify where issues is coming from, then one of the steps which might be quiet easy to accomplish is to test your MBP on a different Network on a different location possibly created by a different router too. If issue do not appear on other network, then issue might not be related to your MBP as you think it is.
But I might be completely wrong too...
