Thanks to this thread i managed to solve most of the problems i'm having. I'll just post my problems and solutions as well.

The following are problems i've encountered trying to run boot camp and install windows 7 on my late 2014 MBP 15"

    1) No device driver found, when installing windows 7.

    2) 0xc0000428 error

    3) after installing windows 7. Several driver are missing, namely the wireless, USB.

    4) unable to run setup.exe from BootCamp

Here are the solutions that worked for me.

    1) Power off and on the MacBook, hold the Option button, select Mac OS > boot camp assistant > tick only the 3rd option ( with your USB stick plugged in )

    2) Before executing step (1), open up your USB which should be WINSTALL > $WinPEDrivers$ > delete AppleSSD64 folder

    3) After executing (2) followed by (1), i was able to complete Windows 7 set up. But i was missing all the important drivers such as USB, Wireless ETC. Therefore i couldn't run any file from my USB or update any drivers online. Luckily for me my trackpad and keyboard still works. The solution is to boot Mac OS, download PARAGON NTFS / TUXERA NTFS which will allow you to read and write to the disk where windows is installed. Locate the BootCamp file on your USB, copy and paste it into the Windows Disk drive. Shut down Mac > boot windows > locate the BootCamp file and install all the drivers 1 by 1.

    4) I assume that setup.exe from BootCamp would solve all the driver issue for me but unfortunately i faced the error "This version of Boot Camp is not intended for this computer model" so i ended up installing all the drivers 1 by 1. Currently i have my Wireless driver up and running.

I'm still trying to figure out the solution for running Setup.exe as currently i'm unable to view my Mac OS Disk drive from Windows, and there is this driver named BootCamp which request me to install it through setup.exe

    Cheers, Jaichyi

Thanks loads to you and Viking Vol here: I used 5.0.033 and copied some of the broadcom driver files from the trashed set and it installed fine apart from losing my wireless mouse connectivity at the final hurdle (why does that happen?!) . I'm trying to remember all my mouseless shortcut key combos now!

@ Limjaichyi Which version of Bootcamp are you running?  If you are getting "this is not the right version for this MAC" when you try to run SETUP then maybe you need to redo your install.

I just checked the bootcamp list and it only shows which version to use for Mid 2014 Macs, but I would guess you should be using that same version anyway. It should be 5.1.5621 which is the version I used and SETPUP ran fine for me and installed all the drivers automatically.

I also have my bluetooth keyboard and mouse working too which is a bonus as a few people seem to be having issues with that too.

THANK YOU SO MUCH this worked perfectly. Hopefully it won't have any repercussions on the driver/software performance down the road!

force power off your machine. when you press the power button again to turn it on, hold down the alt/option key. select the mac partition as the startup

Thanks Tooshy1054 - this might be a daft question but can you just clarify what you meant by the last two points:

    4. Rebooted MAC into Windows 7

    5. Ran SETUP.EXE in the Bootcamp directory and it began to install all the drivers: NVIDIA, networking, mouse, keyboard etc.

I have been going around in circles as my USB keyboard and mouse don't co-operate once I get to the Windows 7 set up page (Type a user name, Type a Computer name)...the become non-responsive.

    Cheers!

Update: I have discovered it's USB that isn't working. My Bluetooth keyboard works fine but neither a USB keyboard or the USB stick are discoverable. I used the older bootcamp version to get thus far - I wonder which files I need to copy across to get USB functionality? Any ideas? It's a late 2012 Mac mini. Device manager such as it is finds one solitary device it can't pin down but gives no option of locating a driver for it - it thinks it's an IR device. generic USB is installed but again I can't do things from within that. Starting to really irritate me. Oh, and the machine is running much hotter.

Thanks IH_photo. Yes - although Viking Vol is right my USB connected keyboard and mouse were not working. I did exactly what he / she said except I didn’t use a flash drive, instead, I just used a regular external hard drive.

It was weird as my keyboard and mouse always stopped working when I got to the Windows set up page (Type a user name, Type a Computer name) - after the actual Windows installation.

Okay, so I followed Viking Vol's steps (below) and I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013) so used the following drivers downloaded from the Apple site: Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5640

    Screen Shot 2015-08-14 at 4.18.08 PM.png

When I had to format the Boot Camp drive during the Windows set-up, I also clicked on the "Install Driver" option and installed the Apple bluetooth driver and the intel drivers in advance (located on my external hard drive). Now my USB keyboard and mouse are working and I can finally progress to the next stage. What a gong show that was - thanks to everyone who helped.

Do your USB devices work once actually booted into windows itself? My keyboard works in startup as it did in setup along with the mouse but they now fail to work when windows is fully loaded up. Weird.

Yes - they're working no problem - that is weird! Did you click on "setup.exe" in the Bootcamp folder (which is saved to the external drive) once you were in Windows as this should install all the drivers you need.

@Tooshy1054 hey thanks for the advise. I've reinstalled windows 7 using Viking's method. But i dont have a usb2.0. Everything went well but currently i'm still missing the same 5 drivers. Multimedia controller, network controller, PCI Simple Communications controller, SM Bus Controller, Universal serial bus Controller.

As you can see i'm missing the USB Driver so i can't run the file from my USB so i have to write the files directly to the Windows Disk.

I have transferred the whole usb stick into a folder in Windows Disk, locate BootCamp folder and run setup.exe but it still says..This version of boot camp is not intended for this computer model.

II'm glad they do for you Tom! If I could double click that folder I'd have USB running ok   . I do recall the machine auto running some scripting via a CMD pop up box when Windoze first loaded and that may well have been setup.exe.

@Tooshy1054 i have followed what you have done since we have the same MPB and same USB issue. But for my i'm still unable to run setup.exe in bootcamp folder

hope there's a solution for me.
