Q: iPad mini usb adapter
ipad mini MD528LL/A
ios 8.4.1
Hello. I have an iPad mini and I was wondering if I can somehow use a usb adapter to plug a flashdrive into the iPad mini and save/transfer files. I know there are some USB adapters out there, but I am not sure how well they work of if they work at all. It would really make my work a little easier if I can plug in a flashdrive into my iPad mini somehow instead of emailing files and transferring to a flashdrive that way.
Note: I will not use iTunes to transfer any files from my iPad to a computer or vice versa. iTunes crashed my last 2 computers and I don't want to go through that again, so I am trying to find out another way to transfer files a little easier.
thanks in advance for any help on usb adapters.

Unfortunately no, they will not work for general files, only camera pictures. Here are the Apple instructions.
Using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit with iPad - Apple Support
If you have a Mac computer you can use AirDrop but that does not work with PCs. I have iTunes on 2 PCs and 1 Mac and have not had any problems with any of them.
