Aug 16, 2015 2:23 PM in response to amcollierby Barney-15E,You don't "update" Mail to use iCloud. You just enable Mail in the iCloud System Preferences. It will create an account in Mail that allows you to access your iCloud email account.

Aug 16, 2015 5:44 PM in response to Barney-15Eby amcollier,Sorry for the confusion.
Let me restate my question, please.
I am running OS X 10.10.5 on a new iMac.
I have an iCloud account. In the iCloud panel, Mail is checked.
On my desk top I have many email messages.
In the iCloud panel for Mail only a few email messages are shown.
Question: How can I these many messages on my desk top uploaded to my iCloud mail?

Aug 16, 2015 7:16 PM in response to amcollierby gail from maine,You need to open the Mail app and click on Mail>Preferences>Accounts to see what account you have signed in to Mail. It should be an iCloud iMAP that is signed into your iCloud ID.
Cheers,
