Q: "Online, not sharing location"

Suddenly, my daughter's phone has stopped showing its location using find my iPhone on my phone. She assures me that she's made no changes to any settings. I searched for an answer to this problem but I'm not finding any resolution. Can someone help please? Thank you.

iPhone 6, Other OS, iOS 8.1.1

    Greetings msstatedawg,

     

    It is possible to change the setting for Location Sharing on the iPhone. You can check this setting and if needed turn it back on again by going to Settings > iCloud > Share My Location > turn on Share My Location. See this article for reference - Family Sharing and location.

     

    If you find it necessary to prevent changes to settings for such things as Location Sharing, you can set Restrictions on the iPhone. See this article - Find my Friends: Set restrictions
