Q: icloud calendar missing after windows 10 update

My PC has  Microsoft 365 for small business with Outlook 2013.  My icloud calendar was syncing with this until I upgraded to Windows 10.

When I go to Calendar in Outlook it lists the icloud calendar but when I tick the box I get the error message "The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened."

I have searched the internet for a solution but as it is a relatively new problem have only found people with the same problem, no answers.  Can anyone help PLEASE.

I am getting around it by running the calendar from the web page but this is not ideal as I like to use the calendar in conjunction with my contacts and emails.

    Alex,

I also had this problem and have just resolved it:

    1. Open the iCloud control panel.

    2. Untick the Contact, Calenders and Tasks box.

    3. Click Apply

    4. Tick the Contact, Calenders and Tasks box option again and hit apply.

    5. You should then get a prompt that changes have been made to Outlook.

Once you reopen outlook iCloud calenders should have returned.

    Hope it works.

    C

I clicked the wrong buttons.  Unfortunately, it did not work for me, I still have the problem.

I followed the suggestions and they did not work.

The following error message was produced

The set of folders cannot be opened. An unexpected error has occurred

MAPI was unable to load the information service C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\Apple\~1\APLZOD64.dll Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured.

    Part 2

Missing calendar and contacts for icloud.

Other troubleshooting I have tried to correct the issue includes

    1. Re-installing icloud for windows

    2. Manually configuring icloud in Outlook 2013.

    3. Running 'repair on Office 2013.

I also use Office 365 for small business.

I am having the same problem.

    I am using Office 365.

I have tried all the suggestions above with no more success than anyone else.

Since no solution has been posted, I assume that we need a fix from Apple.

I will follow this post and see what transpires.

    EDIT

I should also add that my contacts are having the same issue.

I have just resolved this issue.

    1. I uninstalled iCloud completely

    2. Repaired Office 365 from the Internet (? complete reinstall I think)

    3. Installed iCloud from a clean download

    Everything is now working again.

I am not sure why the simple repairs I did earlier didn't work but the full reinstall seems to have fixed it.

This same problem happened to me and thanks to this discussion thread I got a solution from trwood.  I went to the Control Panel/Programs and uninstalled iCloud completely then reinstalled it. .   Thankfully it worked!!  note: I did not have to repair Office 2013.

If you are not sure where the control panel is in Windows 10, right click the start button and it will show in the menu.

    Thanks!

As others have discovered, you have to completely uninstall ICloud and then re-install it.  After struggling for 3 days, I visited a local MicroSoft store (a great new support system that mimics the Apple Stores), and the technie explained that this had been a known glitch that she had only learned about the day before.  This glitch applies to both 2010 and 2013 (and possibly other) versions.  After she walked me through the re-installation, it worked like it always did.

Eventually I contacted Microsoft support and they talked me through it (not exactly sure what we did but it worked!).  Only down side is that all of my contacts are now in icloud rather than in Outlook on my computer.

I am concerned about uninstalling and reinstalling iCloud. I did that once and it duplicated all of my contacts and calendar entries. Then it added a new iCloud calendar to Outlook. It was a royal mess straightening out. Did you backup any data or preserve settings in any way before you did this?

I am having the same issue, I went to uninstall iCloud from my computer.  All was good.  When I went back into the apps store the Icloud app disappeared.  I cannot reinstall iCloud at this time.  Help Please!!  All of my contacts and tasks are on the cloud.

This is what worked for me.

    Windows 10 w/outlook 2007 Pro

Do not use sharepoint or 365

But I do use calendars on my iPad, iPhone & windows desktop so this is rather important.

    Thanks trwood - you're a lifesaver!

I had the same problem but this solution did not work, also tried uninstalling and re-installing (without logging out of ICloud) and it did not fix it. I then logged out of ICloud and back in and then it re-setup ICloud and everything started working again.

Another symptom in my case was the Outlook ICloud add it was not displayed on the Outlook top line menu but when I checked the add in list, it was shown as installed and running. I also still had the ICloud Icon in my task list. All seemed well except it didn't work.

    Windows 10, Office 2010.
