Has the printer ever been noticeable by the computer? If so, then open the Mac App Store and check for any new updates and install them. After updating, retest for the printer and see if it can be used now. If you still have problems, verify that the printer is still supported by Brother with Yosemite. You will likely need to visit Brothers support site. If Brother supports it under Yosemite and the printer still cannot be seen then, reset the printing system per Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system - Apple Support and then re-install.

Is your printer listed in this document? -> Printer and scanner software available for download for your Mac - Apple Support

Did you try to Cycle power on your Router? Is your printer connected to the same Network as your Mac?

Is your printer getting correct IP address which is in the same range as the IP address of your Mac? If YES try to use Network Utility tool and Ping IP address of your printer and check if both devices are communicating.

Do you use built-in Firewall or any 3rd Party Security applications? If Yes, try to disable it or uninstall as per developer/manufacturer instructions.
