Q: Why do I get error "cannot connect to server" when I try to add apple id for child??

I've tried rebooting my phone, updating my payment information, and nothing is working to let me add an apple id for one of my kids. What's going on? is the server not working or something or am I doing something wrong?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4.1

    Good day jbroy77,

     

    I am sure it is frustrating to be unable to create an Apple ID for your child so that you can use Family Sharing. Let's see if we can get you up and running again.

     

    I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - If you can’t connect to the iTunes Store. While it is not the iTunes Store servers you are attempting to connect to, the same principles apply.
