If I understand correctly you can see some of your iTunes music in the Recently Added playlist but the rest of your library seems to be missing. Do you remember having updated iTunes recently? If so then this article may help you get your library back. It is about issues with missing content in iTunes after an update so it seems appropriate here:

Was your content stored in iCloud with iTunes Match? One of the options to view your music in the cloud may have changed to not show your cloud stored music. Take a look at the section titled "If you can't download, play, or access songs" in the following article:
