Q: my iphone 6 keeps showing that it's searching at the upper left corner. i can't get calls or even open my settings. what's going on? my husband is sitting right next to me with no problems on his iphone 6.

my husband and I both got new iphone 6's. his works all the time but mine keeps showing in the upper left corner that it's searching. I tried turning the phone off but it wont turn off. I tried resetting the network, that only works for a few minutes once in a while. now the screen is black & it won't turn on. when it is working it doesn't last long at all before it starts searching for a connection again. is this my internet problem or the phone itself? we just got these phones 3 weeks ago.

Take it to an Apple store. It is in warranty.

If it was an internet/ISP/router issue your husband would be having problems also. So no, it is not likely. Try a hard reboot. This is totally different than a regular off and on. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it comes up. You will not lose anything.

If it does not work go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Then reboot (a regular will do). You will have to re-enter your settings (Wi-Fi, etc.) but you will not lose any data.
