Q: Photos difference between collections albums folders moments

iMac7,1 running Mac OS X version 10.10.3 and Photos version 1.0 (209.52.0).  iPad Air 2 64 gB MH2M2LL/A running iOS 8.4.

In Photos for Mac/iOs, I am confused by the meaning of collections, albums, folders,  & moments.  Where can I find a discussion of the difference between these elements in Photos and how I can appropriately use them.  I now have photos organized in collections and albums, but am not happy with what I've created.  I think I need to start over.

Among many other things:

* How are folders created?  How do they fit in with collections, albums, and moments.

• What is "Moments" all about?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

this is why I asked the question here, not because I didn't research and look over previous questions and replys on this subject. But saying just trash the old app replace it with a newer iPhoto... ? Its not in the apps store anymore... Thank you, but this isn't going well at all. I have LR and and my own Nikon image saving software to keep my photos, I just wanted to delete them. I won't be using the photos app from now on..

follow up.... The way on my desk top to delete photos are hold command click on images then while holding to delete is command/option where the option to delete comes up and choose delete images... Thats what I found on the new PHOTOS app to delete photos if anyone is looking for that information. Thats all I was asking about here...

if you simply wan tot delete everything in iPhoto then drag the iPhoto library to the trash and empty the trash - there is no undo for this
