Q: iCloud logon issue

Hello

 

I cannot log onto iCloud.

 

When I tried it refused to accept my password, so I went through the hoops and changed it. Now it will not accept the new password, although I was able to use it and my id to log onto this site.

 

Anyone have any ideas, I would appreciate hearing them.

 

Does one have to register to set up iCloud?

 

I have never used it before.

    Hi

     

    Thank you for your speedy reply, and please excuse my slow response.

     

    After reading the page you provided, I just set up another account. I have had nothing but problems with my various accounts--if I try to set up an account to use an password I have used in another account, I get an error message from Apple because it is in use on the other account.

     

    Even more frustrating is what just occurred when I tried to log in to reply to you--an password that I have used before to log into this account was rejected, and I had to go through the dog and pony show to set up a new password.

     

    But I do appreciate your help.

    I am having a similar problem, I used to use an e-mail for a previous account which when i tried to log into it, it said it needed to be verified. When I went to verify it i received a error message saying that it had already been verified. This meant that i was not able to use this e-mail (My main e-mail account) to use your services like iCloud etc. No my account has been suspended and when I try to re-activate it I can't receive the e-mail to change the password.

    Hi

     

    Several years ago, when problems with my iCloud log on began to occur, I contacted Apple about the issue--after discussing the problem with a couple of general staffers, I spoke with a manager type who told me that even they could not delete a problematic account, and restore me to as new status, so that I could access  my account.

     

    So I stopped using iCloud. But I need it in my new business, so I just set up a new account--which meant a new password, which has led to conflicts with existing passwords!
