Aug 29, 2015 12:45 PM in response to turingtest2by Walking Abomination,I did it and it didn't seem to work. I mean, I'm not sure how hard to hit it and I don't want to do anymore damage. If I take it to an apple store can they fix it? Like replace the hard drive or something? I'm so disappointed because it's not even that old.

Aug 29, 2015 12:57 PM in response to Walking Abominationby turingtest2,I've no idea what an Apple Store might charge for a repair/replacement, or if they are even able to provide that service for the classic now. There are third parties than can do it for a fee. Or you could try opening up the device following one of the many videos on YouTube that explain how it is done so you can try to reseat the HDD connection cable, in the hopes that that is all that is needed.
