Q: Older "how to" article needs correction, how to accomplish that?
I found this article:
Automatically make shared files writable for others
It has a serious mistake: The forum software has converted the texts into underscores, i.e. "add_subdirectory" has become "addsubdirectory" and "directory_inherit" has become "directoryinherit", making the commands not work.
I wanted to leave a comment on the article to make the writer aware of it and ask him to fix it, but I am not offered any way to comment or even rate it.
Next I tried to contact the author (Király) but that doesn't offer a contact either.
Lastly, I tried to comment on a posting of his in a forum but all keep getting is a message about some error occuring that maybe I got logged out (I certainly wasn't) and to contact an admin if the issue persists (but again, I find no explanation how to contact an admin).
This forum is a mess, isn't it?
Anyhow. How can the article be fixed? It's useless the way it is as hardly anyone will be figure out the mistake on their own.

I've popped a request in a thread that Király has been active in recently. Hopefully he will drop by soon.
Those at level 5 or above can edit user tips. Were it written by someone who had stopped contributing I might have tackled it but given Király is around and about I'd rather leave it to him to update.
Occasionally existing advice on the forums doesn't fare well when the site is upgraded.
You can report posts or other issues with the site once you reach level 2, but in advance of that there is always the option to use the communityaccounts@apple.com email address.
