Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you have questions about using Siri in your vehicle. For more information on how Siri works in the car, please read over the information located in the attached article below.
How do I use Siri in the car?
- If you're using CarPlay in a supported vehicle, press and hold the voice command button on your steering wheel and start speaking after the tone. If you have a touch screen, you can also start a conversation with Siri by pressing and holding the Home soft-key, throughout CarPlay in the corner of the screen. Siri will also help you automatically when you tap the Phone or Messages icon.
- In a car that supports Eyes Free, you can start a conversation with Siri by pressing and holding the voice command button on your steering wheel, just like the Home button on your iPhone. Siri waits for you to stop talking, but you can also tap the audio wave to tell Siri you're done talking. This is useful when there's a lot of background noise.
- When you summon Siri from the button on a wired or Bluetooth headset, from Eyes Free, or from CarPlay, Siri assumes you're not looking at the screen and adapts its behavior accordingly. For example, it reads aloud the content of text messages so that you can confirm them before sending.
Have a great day
