Q: i downloaded an album.  had already downloaded one of the songs.  iTunes shows separately as 2 separate albums.  How do i combine?

It sounds like one song that you downloaded separately from the rest of an album isn't grouped with the album in iTunes.

First, try this tip from Why aren't songs with the same album art grouped together? to make sure the album info is identical for all the songs in iTunes:

To make sure that all of the songs that are from the same album have the exact same album name, follow the steps below:

1. Select all of the songs that should be on the same album.
2. Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose File > Get Info.
   Windows: Press the Control and B keys on your keyboard to turn on the iTunes menu bar. Choose File > Get Info. Learn more about menus in iTunes for Windows.
3. In the "Are you sure you want to edit information for multiple items? " message that appears, click Edit Items.
4. In the box next to "album," type the correct album name.
5. Click OK.
