Q: Can't open iTunes Store or Apple Music on PC since Windows 10 update.

Ever since I updated to Windows 10 on my PC, I haven't been able to connect to the  iTunes Store or Apple Music. Whenever I try to go on, I just get the little window that says: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your network connection is working and try again."

I've tried restarting my computer, disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet, and uninstalling and re-installing iTunes multiple times, but none of that has fixed it.

Other OS, Windows 10

    Hello there Eth1994,

It sounds like you are unable to open either the iTunes Store or Apple Music after you upgraded to Windows 10. I would recommend that you use the information in either of these two articles for that issue. It might be possible that you could need to update iTunes, which is the first thing I would do:

Get the latest version of iTunes

There may have been some security enhancements that need tweaking to allow access on your operating system with the new software.

If you can’t connect to the iTunes Store

    and if needed:

    Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting

Now, if nothing works then you may perhaps need to uninstall iTunes and all its associated softwares and reinstall it with this article. It contains info about Windows 7 and 8 uninstallation, but the important things in there are the order in which to uninstall the iTunes components, the section titled "Make sure that iTunes and its related components are completely uninstalled" and "Reinstall iTunes and related components":

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Here are the steps from the Microsoft support site about where to go to uninstall the components in the order listed in the above article:

Repair or remove programs - Microsoft Windows

    1. On the Start menu select  Settings.

    2. In Settings, select  System > Apps & features.

    3. Select the program, and then select  Uninstall.

    4. Follow the directions on the screen.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
