    Howdy Mybdai4,

It sounds like you are plugging your phone into your computer and it automatically opens an Explorer window to the DCIM folder. That seems to me that the Autoplay settings are set to do that when you have the device connected. You should be able to change that activity with this section of the following article:

iOS: Disabling digital camera notification in Windows

    On Windows 8

    1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the computer.
    2. Move the cursor to the upper-right corner.
    3. Click the magnifying glass.
    4. Type
      Control Panel
      and press Return.
    5. Choose Hardware and Sound.
    6. Choose AutoPlay.
    7. Scroll down to the section labeled Devices. You should see your device listed here (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch).
    8. Choose Take no action from the device pop-up menu.
    9. Click Save.
