Aug 23, 2015 11:06 AM in response to Loner Tby MrMJ,I tried target disk mode and internet recovery yesterday when the problem started but the computer would not start. I would get what sounded like a faint startup chime maybe every 2-3 seconds. I get that outcome with almost every start up command, safe mode being the exception.

Aug 23, 2015 2:41 PM in response to Loner Tby MrMJ,I can't play sounds under safe mode and am trying to avoid restarting from safe mode considering last time I tried it wouldn't start even in safe mode for a few hours. I took a few screen grabs of disk utility to show what it is showing because I'm probably not the best at describing the issues.
The options under the bootcamp partition are greyed out and it won't let me mount from disk utility.

Aug 23, 2015 3:16 PM in response to MrMJby Loner T,If Internet Recovery works (wired connection is highly recommended), please install OS X on an external disk and boot from it. It may be fastest way to diagnose this issue. Can you describe any significant events leading up to this issue? Do you have an OS X backup?
