Aug 21, 2015 11:41 PM in response to amischantzby SIM-one,Deleting plist didn't help. My iTunes requires login countless times. After logging in 35th time I gave up and force quit that **** app.

Aug 22, 2015 3:47 AM in response to amischantzby Cunnla,Hi,
Nobody seems to have an answer for this one, but here's something that might be worth a look.
If you're asked repeatedly to sign in to the iTunes Store - Apple Support

Aug 23, 2015 7:23 PM in response to Cunnlaby lochy,No joy for me either. I followed Suzanne's advice (I used to have a similar problem in Lion and it was the com.apple.WebFoundation.plist files that were the problem then), but when I looked for the hidden plist files now, there are none.
Oh well, i guess Apple doesn't want my money.

Aug 24, 2015 7:14 PM in response to lochyby BerrySimple,None of this is helping. I tried resetting my iTunes cache, deleting the plist, and resetting the keychain. I am down to two sign in requests.

Aug 24, 2015 10:56 PM in response to BerrySimpleby Cunnla,One more thing to try is to go to the Store menu in the iTunes toolbar and sign out, then sign in again.

Aug 25, 2015 6:29 AM in response to Cunnlaby BerrySimple,I have tried that in the past and it would work for a few days and then come back. I signed out and in again and after four prompts for my user ID/password when entered correctly each time, it stopped asking and signed me in (?). After the second sign out and reboot of iTunes, no more prompts. I will see how this turns out over the next few days.

Aug 30, 2015 6:47 AM in response to Cunnlaby BerrySimple,Signing in and out did not work. Still have problem. My iMac has just been a source of frustration since I've had it. I think they should have replaced it when I began having problems within the first couple weeks.

Aug 30, 2015 6:14 PM in response to BerrySimpleby Cunnla,It may be worth while to contact Apple Support about it. http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/
You might also try changing your Apple ID password in the hope that the new setting will get rid of the bug.

Sep 1, 2015 12:41 PM in response to Cunnlaby BopCat,This has been driving me nuts for awhile, to the point I avoid using iTunes unless I have to.
If it has to do with Safari cookie preferences and/or reseting Safari, then they need to fix that, not just tell people to quit using features that should have nothing to do with whether I use iTunes.
I've bought one album twice, because iTunes signed out of the cloud, at least in one area. Actually I had the songs on another compilation as well, so 3 times. But none of the songs were showing up in iTunes, despite the fact I had signed in, and was obviously signed into the store to buy it again.
I usually get one sign in request for the cloud, followed by two identical ones for "downloads". Sometimes I get a fourth one as well.
Going into iTunes is a chore. iTunes is central to the fortunes of Apple. This is not how you compete with the emerging services. I tried to sign up for the Apple Music Family membership to give it a try. I don't think I got the Family one I was trying for, but I can't find the information anywhere, and there is no was I can discern to upgrade.
It's a moot point anyway. I'm only using iTunes when I absolutely have to, which is less and less. I never want to. And it used to be my go to application (I'm a musician, and I'm listening or making music all the time).
Now, it's a drag.

Sep 19, 2015 4:36 PM in response to amischantzby amischantz,Very disappointed that this latest update didn't fix this problem for me...time to call the support people again....Has anyone here had any more permanent fix?
I had five requests to login tonight, and when I cancel all of them, iTunes even recognizes that I am already signed in...
