Aug 25, 2015 5:45 AM in response to pfol310by ashute,I have had the same issue since I upgraded my iPhone to 8.4.1 prior to that the battery life was fine. It's dropped to 33% in 7 hours without using it much. I have tried unpairing the watch and then pairing it again.

Aug 25, 2015 5:57 AM in response to pfol310by D.Cohen,Hi! Try unpairing your Apple Watch, resetting it and pairing back to your phone.
Turn your watch off and back on. If this does not help, press and hold the side button and the Digital Crown for 10 seconds or more, until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Aug 25, 2015 10:40 AM in response to pfol310by Care625,Just an FYI this happened to me too. I went to the Apple store last night and they ended up giving me a brand new watch due to the fact that they could not even run a diagnostic test on the watch. Now today the new watch battery is draining unusually fast also.

Aug 25, 2015 10:43 AM in response to pfol310by Jonathan UK,Are you using any Exchange Calendars on your iPhone?

Aug 25, 2015 10:49 AM in response to D.Cohenby ashute,Hi,
After the problems with 8.4.1 on my phone I did a complete reset which meant I had to unfair the watch and set it back up again. I also did the reset etc. but my watch has just ran out of power after 12 hours of light use, normally I would still have about 57% left.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Aug 25, 2015 11:56 AM in response to Care625by Jonathan UK,Issues associated with the use of Exchange Calendars have been identified by some users as a cause of significantly shortened battery life.
Users in a related thread have suggested some solutions that have reportedly worked for them, including:
- "apparently I had at least one corrupt calendar item in my outlook account which apparently forces the watch to constantly try to sync this item. I suspect it being one of the messages you get when someone accepts a calendar invite. I cleaned up my inbox and made sure there were no more accepted messages."
- "Try cleaning up your Outlook Mailbox on your desktop client. Remove all Email Messages you have in your inbox where someone accepted or declined any of your calendar invites. This is what solved my problem"
- "I have created a rule in my Outlook Mail account where all accept and declined replies get pushed into a separate folder right away. This folder does not sync with my phone or watch, I do get the calendar notifications, just not the e-mail. The problem has never returned since"
- "It was finally fixed when I first archived my exchange calendar for any items older than today and removed all my messages from my outlook inbox to a folder that is not replicated to my iphone. I then unpaired and paired my watch again, and the issue was gone"

Aug 26, 2015 10:50 AM in response to Jonathan UKby Care625,Ok Jonathan you peaked my interest. I am giving the Calendar theory a shot. I have ran CalCheck and found five bad events and removed them. I removed the exchange calendar from my phone and then added it back after I cleaned up the calendar. I hope this works. I am so used to having this watch now. I need it to work.

Aug 26, 2015 11:06 AM in response to Care625by Jonathan UK,Good luck!
If you haven't already done so, for completeness, perhaps try also:
- Remove all inbox messages that notified you about past calendar invite acceptances and declines.
- Create a rule in your Outlook Mail account that moves all accept and decline replies - immediately upon receipt - into a separate mail folder that does not sync with your iPhone and Apple Watch.

Aug 27, 2015 4:54 AM in response to pfol310by ashute,Seemed to have solved my problem. I did a fresh install of iOS 8.4.1 on my phone, which wiped all information about my watch. When I set everything up again it all seems back to normal. battery at 83% available after 6.5 hours. One thing I was not aware of unless you use secure back up on your iphone all your helath data is wiped.
Hope this helps.

Sep 8, 2015 12:37 PM in response to pfol310by pfol310,Update!!
So, after charging the iWatch from 4pm that day to 9am the next morning I didn't experience any further issues, as its back to normal battery drain which is at around 50% after wearing all day/night.
I did remember on the back of the watch by the sensors it looked like in the black area had faded to white. I should have added that to my original post.
I have no additional apps installed on watch. I haven't put anything else on it that didn't come factory.
I'm thinking somehow that fading thing I saw was related. I was outside doing work so maybe it over heated ?

That is certainly possible. Apple Watch is designed to work best within a certain temperature range (eg it shouldn't be left in direct sun for long periods); using it outside of that could shorten your watch's battery life and/or cause other damage.
It is good to hear that have since experienced normal battery life. However, in view of the fading that you described, it may still be prudent to have your watch inspected at the Genius Bar (if you have not done so already - I know you mentioned that you had booked an appointment previously): https://www.apple.com/retail/
