Q: Good afternoon. Do you guys know why the Search feature on my iOS calendar app shows events only untill 1 year back? thanks

When I search some event in my calendar using the "search tool" at mi iOS (8), it will show results only until 1 year back. What is happening?

A:

You will probably need a calendar app from the App Store. The built in apps are very basic. If you have a Mac the calendar app on the Mac will search your entire calendar database.

Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Calendars>Sync>"All Events"

I´ve tried this already with NO succes. It looks like apple doens´t care too much about the Search fature.... as it is not available at the icloud.com calendar app.
Don´t know what to do yet...

If you have not restarted your iPhone after making the "All Events" selection, you may want to give that a try.

My iPhone calendar goes back as far as the iCloud calendar does (5 years) and probably further but I archived everything older than 5 years. Something else is going on here.

My calendar goes back to 2000, and I can view any date back to that. However, SEARCH on the iPhone only searches back one year. I normally use Week Calendar, which DOES search the entire 15 years.
