Q: Is it a way to disable turn off my iphone while is locked?

Someone just stoled my iphone and because is off I can't find it. I will appreciate to have something like that on the new phone I'll buy when I have to money for it.

I considered that the find my Iphone app, when it comes to stolen situation is just a fail. My iphone has a password on it, and I noticed every time I turned back on, that it connect to internet just after I enter my password. So APPLE, I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO FIND IT LIKE THAT. That's why I ask for an app that can prevent people to turn it off without a password.

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1.2, null

What is your question? Find My iPhone protects your phone with an Activation Lock. So whether it is offline or not, the thieves who stole it will never be able to use it.

Your suggestion to require a password to turn off the device has been posed many times before. That may be a solution that you like, but many people don't even like to have to put in a Lock Screen password, let alone a password to turn off their device.

If you have a question or would like a clarification about how Find My iPhone works, please post it.

I wanted to know if apple has a setting that could be turn on for any user that wanted to enter a password before turning off the device. I'm sorry my question is not about a technical problem but as you guys here knows so much about apple I feel like you are the people to ask to.

I ask this because wondering how many other things (that I'm not aware of it) can be done to find a device or prevent to lost track of it in the first place. I did everything it is to do when an iphone is lost, when my phone carrier block the old SIM my stolen phone won't be able to connect to internet anyway even with wifi because it has the password turn on and all my hopes to find it will be gone. I know they can't use it but sometimes it just feels like is not enough.

Well, Find My iPhone tracking is the only current way that a phone can be tracked. It wasn't that your question was not of a technical nature - it was that in your first post, you didn't ask a question at all. So, that is what I was getting at.

When a phone is stolen, it is oftentimes kept offline to prevent it from being tracked, that is true. But, unfortunately, there is no way to track it without it being connected to the internet - cellular or Wifi. And there are no apps currently that allow you to set up your device to require a password to turn it off.

This article will clarify your options when it comes to a stolen device and using Find My iPhone, but again, there currently is no app out there that provides for that type of setting on your device:

I still encourage you to send your idea to Apple via the Feedback link. I think the biggest drawback to doing that is that the device turns off automatically to conserve battery. If it didn't do that every time you weren't using it, the battery wouldn't last long....

    Best of luck,
