iLove Mac

Q: Enable auto login

I am unable to generate auto login on my macs (Macbook pro and Mac Pro). The "auto enable" is greyed out. This is really enoing

and I wonder why this is. Any ideas.

If you’re using FileVault or have linked your login and Apple ID passwords, you won’t be able to log into the computer automatically.

Not using FileVault and not linked my login and Apple ID password anywhere. Not to my nolige anyway..How can I check that?

Thanks for trying. But it didn't help. I reset my password just in case and restarted my computer. Tried to enable auto but still greyed out.
And No Fire vault..

Ops... Sorry I did have fire vault on! So now I have turned it of and it works. Thanks for the help!
