Q: No matter what output, right side cuts out randomly

At first I thought it was just my headphones but it randomly does the same thing for my speakers. Pretty much, sometimes the entire right portion of a track will either be non existant or make a scratchy "half there half not" sound. I tried blowing into the headphone jack. how can i fix this?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Sorry that the steps in the article didn't help. Since that is the case, then it appears time to Contact Apple Support as it suggests in the article.
