I've had my 3rd iPhone 6 go dead in four months having to pay $1200 on my credit card until they send out a new one and receive old one back. there is obviously an issue with them which apple is not addressing!!!pmci are obviously fault on them

I just bought my brand new Iphone 6 64gb at approximately 2-3pm today, everything was working fine until somewhere around 1am, the last time it was working I had a full 100% charge. Next thing I know I go to check what time it was and the phone won't come out of sleep mode, I tried to force restart by holding the home button and sleep button for 20 seconds, 10 more than required and still nothing. A little frustrated since I spent 1hr in store dealing with **** another hour dealing with corporate on the phone and then another hour in store before I finally got this phone only to have it not work at all 6-9hrs later after getting it!!!

    Restore to Factory Settings

If those options don't work, sometimes your best bet is to restore your iPhone to its factory settings. This erases all the data and settings on your phone (hopefully you synced it recently and backed up your data), but it can solve a lot of problems. Normally, you can just sync your iPhone and click the Restore button in iTunes, but if it won't turn on, you need a different technique:

    1. Plug the iPhone's USB cable into the dock connector, but not into your computer
    2. Hold down the iPhone's Home button
    3. Now plug the other end of the USB cable into your computer
    4. This will open iTunes, put the iPhone into recovery mode, and let you completely restore the iPhone.

I followed these steps already. But nothing shows up in the screen. Also, iTunes is not detecting the iPhone.

Thanks a lot!! I faced this problem today and initially tried my different method without any success. Finally followed as you have mentioned the phone became perfect in 10 seconds hoding both power and home button together for 10 secs.

This has also happened to my iPhone 6.  Started by draining the battery even when the phone was fully switched off overnight

Nothing unusual in the data usage to suggest a rogue app.

Tried to switch the phone on today and its not responding to any of the suggestions here.

Have an appointment booked with an Apple Store so will be looking for a replacement as this is well within its 12 month warranty period.

I'm also booked in to Apple however the phone has been switching itself off a number of times this week so again today I had to do the full restore it took 4 attempts before it would register but got there in the end.

Ahh, to be able to do a full Restore.

I've tried numerous times to get the thing to switch on, and it won't Force Restart or anything.  Not recognised by iTunes when I connect, nothing.  It's deader than a dead thing, even having left it on charge for the past 24 hours.

Ironically I have a 5S that has the same settings as the 6 (had) without any problems at all.

Heyho, roll on Monday when I can hopefully get it sorted.
