Aug 30, 2015 3:03 AM in response to ewach2by Winston Churchill,What exactly do you mean when you say that they do not recognise your network.
-
Aug 30, 2015 3:43 AM in response to Winston Churchillby ewach2,I have active/working wi-fi network that all devices use and recognize without issue, even in same room that Apple TV is in, but for some reason the Apple TV does not recognize any network exists even when I specifically type in the network name. As such the Apple TV is currently useless.

Aug 30, 2015 3:53 AM in response to ewach2by Winston Churchill,So it doesn't even see a network. Does it see any networks.
Is this a new Apple TV. Have you tried it in another location. Have you checked to see if anything is pushed or stuck in the ethernet port.

Aug 30, 2015 4:06 AM in response to Winston Churchillby ewach2,It does not currently see any network of which there is currently only one. It is not new and did see network before. However, I previously had interference issues between FIOS router and AirPort router so I turned off the Wi-Fi signal from FIOS to improve AirPort signal. Moreover, I added an AirPort Express near the Apple TV that dramatically increased signal strength in room as observed by all other devices. However, now Apple TV does not recognize any network. Nothing is in ethernet port.

Aug 30, 2015 4:10 AM in response to ewach2by Winston Churchill,Have you tried a restore.
Will it see a hotspot from your phone.
-
Aug 30, 2015 4:21 AM in response to Winston Churchillby ewach2,I've done a restart several times. Did not see Restore option.
I don't have a hotspot from my iphone. I have legacy unlimited data plan which does not allow using as hotspot.

Aug 30, 2015 4:47 AM in response to ewach2by Winston Churchill,Sorry, yes, that should have been obvious.
- Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source List)
- Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
- Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
- Open iTunes.
- Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

Aug 30, 2015 5:58 AM in response to Winston Churchillby ewach2,I restored by iTunes as you suggested (it is Apple TV3); however, it still does not recognize any wi-fi network and when I enter the specific network name it just searches until it times out.

Aug 30, 2015 6:31 AM in response to ewach2by Rudegar, does it work if connected by wired ethernet to the router?
-
Aug 30, 2015 8:11 AM in response to Rudegarby ewach2,I haven't tried yet as I don't have cable long enough to go from router to room where TV's are (flat screen's attached to wall so can't move them).
