Q: Apple MAIL Stopped Sending - Outbound server offline

Having issues with outbound email on MobileMe account, iMAC 10.8.5. The automatic outbound server is off line, and I am unable to change the settings to another outbound server. I still get email with the IMAP function, password works. Any ideas?
