You can try Target Disk Mode:

But that assumes that the MBP will boot and stay into Target Disk Mode. If not, you would have to take out the drive and connect it to another Mac via USB. This of course assumes that your MBP is a non retina or an early 2013 retina MBP or earlier.
To trouble shoot your MBP, start with SMC and NVRAM resets:

Then try a safe boot:

mine is earlly 2013 and not Retina , I managed to take the drive out and connect it to another Mac , luckily all the files are fine I am backing it up to another external drive , when I finish I will format the drive and put it back in and see !?
